  • Survey

Complete mechanical and electrical surveys of engines, auxiliaries and automation systems. Performance audits related to fuel efficiency, lube oil consumption, maximum output, engine status and emissions. Custom made surveys are also possible.

  • Renewable Ready Audit

Due to the introduction of renewable energy sources in the grid, thermal power plants need to start and load faster to balance the intermittent output of solar and wind power. The audit focuses on shortening starting routines, increase ramping rates, permissible thermal stresses and new developed fast start automation. Possibilities for lowering fuel consumption, emissions and operationally costs will be investigated.

  • Site Survey

Complete site survey of all engines, auxiliaries and automation systems. Detailed inspection and reporting of all plant equipment about the current condition of your power plant. The report will be the basis for follow-up in order to get your installation back to optimal performance, safety, reliability and availability.

  • Performance Efficiency Audit

Performance audit focused on fuel efficiency. During this audit actual fuel consumption, compression, combustion and timing is real time measured with all parameters for correcting towards ISO standard. In case of higher consumption or deviant readings from the analyzers, all relevant components and systems are inspected and corrected.

  • Performance Output Audit

The Performance Output Audit is focused on maximum achievable installation output. During the audit each engine will be loaded to current maximum power and all relevant data during this test run are measured. The results are studied on the spot and and not optimal performing components or systems are inspected and corrected. Items which can not be corrected immediately will be explained in a detailed report for follow-up.

  • Engine Condition Inspection

The Engine Condition check can be done when the condition of the engine is doubtful. For example, after long standstill, after an accident, during a purchase process. The purpose of this check is to determine whether the engine is fit for start-up or if parts need to be replaced. Part of the inspection can be removal of one or more cylinder heads, pistons, fuel pumps etc. to get a clear picture of the condition. For operational/running engine analysis, our analyzer equipment can be used as a starting point for further inspections.

  • Emission Measurement

Emission measurement can be done as part of engine tuning in order to reach the best possible fuel consumption within the borders of local or World Bank standards. Other option is to tune the engine towards lowest possible emissions. Contra-expertise is also offered.

  • Electrical/Automation Survey

The Electrical/Automation Survey can be performed to determine the condition of electrical components and automation systems. PLC and monitoring systems are checked. Recommendations are made in case corrections and upgrades are needed.
